If Camaro is a pig, then Coupe 60 is a boring pig.

Posts like that will get you a nice vacation. Shape up or ship out.
well for all the 1st generation supposed inspiration, being hundreds upon hundreds of pounds overweight compared to a 69 doesn't really make sense now does it?

This car should be 3400lbs max. Its going to be 3600+ we can't '''confirm''' this as of now, but I think its a foregone conclusion.

He made a good point, even if I don't like it and it came off as anti-Camaro. But I know Camaro is your baby, so I understand the irritation. (Believe me, I get it all the time with Cobalt SS shouldn't be an SS when its the most SS in performance and style than Chevy has had in years!)

So the Camaro should be 100lbs lighter then a solid axle Mustang?
200lbs lighter then a 4th gen?
100lbs lighter then a third gen?

Being hundreds upon hundreds of pounds "overweight" when compared to a first gen is a stuipd thing to say. A first gen doesnt have half the things Camaro has. A first gen couldnt pass current crash tests, nor any other saftey tests.

What point did he make? He said its a pig. Apparently the Coupe 60 is made of carbon fiber, and somehow uses a different version of VE that everyone else, including its larger 4 door version Commodore and sister car Camaro uses.

gee sorry to offend! but if a pigs a pig a pig it will be ,i surely am allowed an opinion:bounce:
And again...if Camaro is a pig, then its sister car (if it is produced) will be same if not heavier then Camaro. So watch what you wish for ladies and gents. Your opinion is fine, but when American engineers are cutting weight on an Aussie platform, we will see whos got the pig coupe.

Camaro looks hott sexxy and a beast all at the same time. it can weigh 3600lbs as long as the base V8 version does 12's and hands the mustang GT their ass in everywhich way i'm fine with it. and if the top of the line camaro hands the GT500 its ass then i'm definatly cool with it. if the Camaro does get a supercharger, GM performance devision better step up its game and provide upgrades, major supercharger upgrades. like the GT500 Supersnake package.

A spotter just hand timed the Camaro doing 7:24 around the ring and in the process beating the Vspec and Carrera GT

sorry chevy fans but this camaro is a pig, gm have to make the coupe 60 monaro, this car is all class!
They're both made from the same chassis architecture (VE/Zeta), if one's a pig the other is as well. The Coupe 60 doesn't appear to have a chassis and frame components made from aluminum, nor exotic carbon fiber, thus if the Camaro is a pig the, not currently slated for production Coupe 60 is as well.

Although I would have liked to have seen a little more retro in this car(like the current Challenger) it looks good in the pictures to me. This car will certainly get some attention on the street. GM is building some great vehicles right now with more coming.
Although I have HUGE disagreements with the way they have essentially turned their trucks into cars(IFS, low ground clearance, no low end torque) GM has the most exciting lineup I have seen in a long time. Just think back even five years ago. No rear wheel drive cars except Corvette. Quite frankly, if you did not need a pickup, fullsize SUV or Vette there was not much of a reason to look at GM. Now they have multiple vehicles that I think any enthusiast would want to buy. On top of that they have world class practical cars(Malibu) now as well. Good to see an American icon is still in the fight. Can't wait to see/hear one of these Camaros in person!

Agreed this thing will be one imposing car on the roads. Not imposing as in big heavy V8 look like the Challenger but imposing as in killer looks which clearly say move over there's something serious under this hood! :yup:
