A new set of spy photos shows the interior of Cadillac's forthcoming 2010 BRX crossover. The images follow a single interior shot from last week — confirmation that the BRX's interior will look as similar as its exterior to the Provoq concept car.

*BIG* kudos to GM for sticking to the concept this closely.

 Power tilt/telescope anyone??
Power tilt would be nice. I'm fine without telescoping as long as power-adjustable pedals are there as in most (all?) current Cadillacs -- I actually prefer the pedals.

Does anyone out there know if a 2 mode system is planned for this?

Smaller crossovers ARE a step in the right direction. Believe me, I'm probably GM's prime target customer with the BRX, and if it's as close to the Provoq as we're led to believe, this thing will SLAUGHTER the Lexus RX. Well hopefully. A lot of midsize and large SUV drivers are more likely to step down into a compact crossover than into a subcompact sedan, especially those whose incomes aren't quite as sensitive to high fuel prices.

New Cobalt's a little over a year away, and the Aveo's under development. It's better for GM to spend a little more time getting the product right than rushing some half-baked tin can to market, only to be laughed at by the competition.

But GM need to seriously trim some pork of its Thetas. A 4000-pound Saturn Vue is absolutely insane. No wonder its little more economical than a Tahoe. If the BRX returns the same pathetic MPG figures as the Vue, it'll be doomed to failure. Not every customer wants hybrids, alt-fuels and such. Most just want an ordinary gas-fed engine that doesn't drink like a Russian sailor.

The STS's grille is "tamer" than the CTS?

with a grille treatment that has more in common with Cadillac's tamer STS than it does with the more adventurous CTS.

That certainly is very unattractive - fat and stubby - has all the proportions of a late 50's Nash. Lincoln thanks GM for continuing to build amateurish vehicles in this market segment. With Lincoln finally finding its legs again, Cadillac will be a sitting duck since they are offering bathtub designs with cheap looking interiors. Bet none of that metallic finish is real on the inside either.

This is a true CUV. They're satifying a booming market. Lexus has an RX, Acura has an RDX, Infinity has an EX, why can't Caddy have a BRX? The new Cobalt/Aveo/Equinox/Volt/etc. are all coming around the same time frame. So, seriously, STFU.

I do like the larger sun-/moon-roof units on certain GM vehicles. A minor point, I know.

Caddy thankfully is building this vehicle because there's a market for these types of vehicles. Just about everyone knows it, too.

UGH! I saw that miserable lever at the base of the steering column, too. I hate those things.
That was the first thing I noticed. Seriously GM. How expensive can it be?

Moving parts really impress people. One of the things I really like about Lexus is how they all have that steering wheel that automatically adjusts when you turn it off / on. It's fun. Plus it's useful.

I'm sure it'll do good, for those who don't quite want the larger and gas-guzzling Escalade. But do remember that the TE is a hybrid of Theta and Epsilon, and will probably use lighter weight materials that are more fitting to a Caddy or a Saab than the Theta. Also, do remember that the new RX is growing in size, so that'll put it out of EX, BRX, X3 territory.

Either way, I like the design and am rooting for the BRX to succeed.

power tilt/tele is probably an option with base version having manual like in a malibu gen 1 epsilon. LMBO.

CobaltSS
Even certain Lexus' have manual steering columns standard with power optional. No biggie. Would it be nice if they were all standard? Probably. Personally, I would think they could save money by just having them all the same, but I guess not on the steering column.

Wait... the BRX is based on the Theta? That thing is FWD?

Caddy needs a shorter/smaller RWD platform.

Even Infiniti has a 100% RWD lineup.
The BRX and the Saab 9-4X are on TE. TE = Theta bits + Epsilon bits
I think the Cadillac will probably have an all-AWD lineup in the US. If there's a FWD mdodel, I'd expect it for Europe/Export only. I may be wrong though as I am merely speculating.
