2024 Chevy Trax Prototype Spotted Looking Far Better Than Predecessor
GM-Trucks.com

September 16, 2022

We just got our first look at the next-generation Chevy Trax, showing off its all-new, much-improved design for the first time.

The Trax takes some design cues from the Chevy Trailblazer, including its two-tiered headlight design that still utilizes some placeholder elements on this prototype. It looks like some elements of the Chevy Colorado’s new design have also found their way onto the front-fascia.

The Trax gets a new angular design, which thankfully does away with the current model’s softer styling. The Trax prototype’s profile takes on Trailblazer overtones, but there are signs of its smaller dimensions, as it retains the rear doors’ internal window frames, due to its shorter wheelbase. Overall it does appear that the new Trax has grown slightly, perhaps yielding a more generous rear cargo space.

Chevrolet is expected to debut in just under a month, on October 12th.

The Buick Encore is going away after this year - no next generation. I'd be surprised to see a new Trax unless it's imported from China.

Really? Aunt just looked at one a couple of days ago but isn't in a position right now to buy. Now I get to tell her that yet another vehicle she kind of liked is dead. She previously had wanted a sedan, preferably a Buick. I broke the news to her that Buick doesn't make cars anymore. Now she looks at a small Buick CUV and they get rid of it.

It looks like Chevrolet is going the way like Honda did with their new HRV. They are both longer and both of them have gotten rid of the Big Toe look. There is a new HRV in my neighbourhood and its in that muddy grey colour. Everytime I see it I can't help see an old Porsche Cayenne in its profile.

It's baaaaack...The Authority says GM has trademarked the Granite name again...possible compact GMC crossover? Note this has been a rumor for over 10 years!

This might be the new crossover, made in Korea, that's been rumored to be larger than Trailblazer but smaller than Equinox. Maybe a Buick version like Envista for NA.

It's just a name. They could put it on anything.
