In this months car and driver, in the rumors section or whatever, they quoted bob lutz of saying that the Solstice will get a 200hp 4cyl. He was quoted to say " this will make people forget about putting in a V8". Car and Driver asked were this 200hp engine will come from. Apperantly they didnt look at the page across that displayed the Saturn Ion RedLine with teh 205hp supercharged ecotec. So it seems as the GTP model will probably get a supercharged 2.0 engine. Then maybe a turbo 2.4 as a GXP model. So it looks as if there will be a 2nd engine, this coming from Lutz's lips.

...but that was when rumors said it would be more than a whopping 205HP...but its the same engine...

all the mags so far have loved it when they got to test pre-production mules in England.
Seems like the big reviews this month are of the Ferrari 612, and of the Solstice.
I would love both cars, expecialy the Ferrari... that thing is soooooooo sexy. I want that to be the design basis for the next Camaro!

that would be pretty awesome. the only problem with that is the camaro would outsell the vette by at least 2 to 1 maybe more

The Solstice will get a turbo version of the 2.0L, not the supercharged one from the Ion. I don't know the HP.

Maybe the VVT 2.4 will just get bumped to 200 HP when the car is actually released. There's quite a bit of time between now and the release date. The car would do very well if 200 HP was standard. Hopefully the turbo Solstice will be somewhere around 250.
