So, Cadillac has a problem...

I've been watching this 2014 CTS VSport at my dealership in Kansas City. It's the exact car I'd buy and they've had it awhile.

I looked today and it is now $15,000 off MSRP, no questions asked. I bet I could get it close to $50,000 after haggling, gm card, and other discounts.

I thought Johan was taking a hard line against that?

He's taking a hard line against GM incentives. Dealer incentives are another matter.
This looks like a more fair price, especially with the 2015s 0ut

Now that production has been dialed back, the old stuff has to cleared out so inventory levels can be reduced.
I only have one question... What are you waiting for?? Do it!

Yes he did. This is all imaginary. Same with the fitty-grand ELR.
Well, $15K off is right at the average off sticker the S-class actually sells for. I realize that come with a much higher sticker to begin with, but it seems the 'problem' is more widespread than just with some Cadillac models.

If you can get to 50k write the check! That would be a steal!! I don't think there's a chance but go for it! Ya never know!
It's a huge issue in the luxury market, not just Cadillac.

That sounds like a great deal but you'll lose huge money on the resale and leasing.

Dealer is just trying to flush out inventory. Loosing up cash flow is more important than profit at this time of the year
Some of the deals on the CTS are incredible, especially on the higher trim levels. If you're looking to buy, the time is now.

Very bad for Cadillac, very good for enthusiasts. Nick, if you like the car, pull the deal if they agree at a $50,000 cash out. The CTS is leaps and bounds better than the ATS. No comparison IMHO.

Pretty much a 10 / 12 ish % discount without any hard ball - on the allegedly **** hot 2015s.

Without going into loyality programs and so forth.

As usual , a bit variable depending on the build and colors and if it is on the ground or can be had for this month.

Then again, some of the direct competition's '14s are 'interesting'.

As in nosebleed - if you can find one you like.

Lots.....have become quite soft.

Especially '14s.... and any '14 Demos / Loaners etc still around.

This one 'sounds' like early production / Demo money.

Or with some GM owner money or conquest money figured in already.

Have to get the e price etc and go from there to know what really is up.

Not sayin' it is.

This particular dealer is running unusually stronger 'face' discounts than most on all their CTS V stock they present and also on some of the non V CTS sedans- or so far this month of what I have seen.

( Toying with the idea of a '14 Cadillac for a very special older gal with what will likely be short term requirements. Likes the CTS so far and the ATS / XTS are gonna' get a look as well. )

Coupes ( yes I know ) - whole different ball game.

That dealer shows one or two ? 2014 ATS with only 505 $ off, and the 60 or so other 2014 Cadillac I skimmed thru seem ( approximately ) pretty much in line with five or six other zips.

ELR is showing a little stronger perhaps...... as well ( compared to a week ago for that one ) but then you have all the various possible government incentive stuff to leave in or leave out etc.

Possibly showing a little stronger about certain older '14s etc - but didn't want to dig around to figure it out - want later / late production anyway.

There are a few hot and hard 'premium' spots out there including on certain very specific '14 builds and colors but all in all - soft to softer still and softening as we speak.

'Imo' not as great a start to the 'premium' 2015MYR as some would like you to think.

You can get one with no sunroof for under $50K

JoHan, don't be a puss, raise the price of the V Sport to $100K. That way, people will know you are serious! ;)

In 3-4 years these will be sub $30k cars and I'll be looking to purchase one then. Yay for depreciation!

I am also shopping Cadillac to probably close before 2014 is over. Dealer will deal 2014. 2015;s however are transacting above BMW equivalents according to truecar in my area, I suspect this is due to production cuts for 2015.
Another problem with these Vsport models is the lack of AWD as even an option
