I'm hoping someone can help me out here......

Last night on my way to work......I'm coming around this gentle curve tailing a new (GMT-900) Silverado.....it's an obvious work truck as a large topper is on the bed, tools and misc. stuff can be seen inside and there is some logo on the side (it was from a small construction outfit if I remember right)

Now the thing that totally threw me off is on the lower left side of the tailgate where 'SILVERADO' is normally spelled out in those block letters, there was 'CHEYENNE' instead.......(with 'LT' on the lower right opposite it)

Is that some special package or designation for Silverados, or could the owner have gotten a hold of some extra letters and just stuck em on there?

I know "back in the day" the Cheyenne was the base model, the Silverado was the deluxe model with fancy seats, carpet, power windows etc

Maybe it's a Mexican model :D
I have never understood why WORK TRUCKS are so expensive. The King Ranch is a good example. 60k and I am ranching? Sure I am going to hope in my truck after restling some cattle.

"back in the day" there was even a more cheaper version, the Scottsdale and the Cheyenne was even once the deluxe model before the Silverado arrived http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_C/K

It could be interesting to bring back the Cheyenne here
