That's awesome. Must be part of Ford's media event comparing towing and other abilities. I do find it interesting the pre-production models in these recent events haven't been EPA rated yet and are showing really low MPG's (e.g. the 2.7 logged a 17.5). Maybe they don't have the production tune and are tuned for a little show boating?

I'd say they're 4000+ pound, very tall vehicles and aren't going to manage much, if any, more than the Colorado/Canyon twins just released, which are slightly lighter and present significantly less frontal area.

It's looking like the 2.7 2WD is going to slot in around 25-26 MPG. I doubt they make 27.

I can't imagine how fun a 2.7L full size would be if the driver drives it for mileage. If you don't drive it for mileage, it will eat fuel. There is NO free lunch.
