Today Chevy debuted a pair of warm 'concepts' slated for public debut November 1st at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The Malibu and Cruze RS Blue Line concepts are what Chevy calls "lifestyle and personalization possibilities for the brand's latest vehicles," in realspeak the twosome serve as a preview for new parts on offer in the GM Performance Catalog.

Both of the "concepts" feature Genesis White paint--a bright white sometimes, a light grey at others-- complimented with blue-tints all the way around. and 18-inch wheels slathered in Slate Blue Metallic.

"The Chevrolet Blue Line Series concepts integrate accessories that offer greater personalization choices for customers," said Roger McCormack, director, Accessories and Performance Parts Marketing. "Each vehicle wears production and concept accessories thematically linked under the Blue Line Series banner. We look forward to gauging public reaction at the SEMA Show and other venues."

Maliblue



Chevy gives the new 'Bu a lowering kit, dropping it 10 mm for a somewhat sportier stance, along with a Chevrolet Performance brake kit (painted Harbor Gray Metallic) and additional exterior twinkles like tinted head and taillamp lenses and polished exhaust tips.



Underhood remains a 250-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged motor, matched with the all-new nine-speed automatic transmission jointly developed with Ford.

A Cool Hued Cruze



The Cruze RS Hatch Blue Line features much more substantial changes than its sibling. It gets a similar 10 mm reduction in ride height. along with a larger front stabilizer bar. Also on offer is a new performance brake kit for LT and above Cruze sedan and hatchbacks. The kit features larger, 11.8-inch (300 mm) front Duralife vented and slotted rotors, versus the stock 10.9-inch (276 mm) rotors, along with new calipers.



Performance wise, the standard 153-hp 1.4L Turbo is mildly spiced with a new Chevrolet Performance air intake and performance exhaust system.

The intake kit includes a high-flow air filter and a secondary inlet duct to reduce air restriction, while the exhaust is a high-flow system designed to reduce backpressure. The intake kit comes with dealer installed calibration, the exhaust is emissions compliant in all 50 states.

Inside, the Cruze was given custom satin graphite accents throughout the ****pit, along with a sport pedal kit, illuminated door sills and an interior trim kit from the Accessories catalog.
