Well more most of you guys this is not somethin new, but here in europe the CTS is not on every corner. i've seen one the other day and it was AWESOME. the back lights were white, i guess this is for the european version, and it looked so classy like nothing else on the road. and believe me, there are mercs, lexuses, bms and bentleys and everything, but nothing could come close in terms of style. it has that standard of the world touch, a piece of old caddy heritage. i just thought i share this with you guys.

yes it is awesome. It has somekind of luxurious factor other cars offered here will never have. Thanks to it's original sophisticated shape it cannot be mistaken for any other car. I know what I am talking about because a few times I mistook Skoda Superb which I hate with an Audi A8 which I love, only because they were painted the same color and had similar wheels ;). Unfortunately the only Cadillac I see on the streets in bigger quantity is Escalade. However, I saw a black cherry new cts at our local dealership and it was beautifuuuuuuuuul. I don't want to mention another CTS they have is exhibited to the public view next to... new Aveo.

i hear you, what i dont like about audis is that you can easily mistaken an a4 with an a8. and yes, the escalade is the most common cadillac everywhere i go. i barely saw a CTS. but in my opinion thats the only Caddy now that really carries the Cadillac brand further, both in design and technology. since they skipped the opportunity with the Sixteen to claim the number one spot in the luxury market, and the Cien, the only fresh product they have is the CTS. a day before i saw a BLS, but thats not really a Caddy. but this is only my opinion.

I had no idea you were European.

It's always neat seeing American cars overseas. I darn near had a stroke when I saw a PT Cruiser in Mykonos.
I'll do you one better... I saw some kind of early 1970's Cadillac in Tokyo a few years ago, in near mint condition. Now, I know the Japanese have this strange fetish for old American cars, but I can't understand how this thing could get around the city.

I was in Burma visiting relatives and saw a 1980s silverado (full-size trucks are very rare) in a nice condition getting a tune-up. it would be nice to see a CTS in the other side of the atlantic. why does the rear end of the global CTS have white/silver taillamps instead of the red one here?

I believe those have to do with laws. Turn indicators cannot be red.

last week i was in Vienna and saw some really cool cars, also a 2008 Shelby 'Stang in white with blue stripes. but the CTS just rocks! far more stylish then any Merc or Lex or BM.

I wanted to ask where You were from. I understand that from Austria?
Calling U.S-made cars more stylish than German cars here is risky. People will perceive You as die-hard blind GM enthusiast. :p:

Coming to cars I spot often. A place where I do often spot interesting cars is Sheraton in Warsaw. I sometimes past pictures of cars parked there. Recently an Escalade and a C6-R replica were parked there. And just two days ago a new Mustang Bullit.

and we have a few gt500s too as You see.
I love cheap dollar, it makes people buy many cool cars.

coming back to full-size pick-ups they aren't so rare because there is a tax privilege if You buy a pick-up in Poland. Here's a RAM parked next to... Sheraton Hotel.

How do other Europeans view the new CTS compared to BMW and M.B.?

Will they consider it over a 3 or 5 series or a C or E class? Just wondering.

well, now im in Budapest:) I love stylish cars, there are also a few of them from europe. Aston, Lambos, Maseratis...i see them very often. In my view the last stylish Merc was the CLS and SLR. i saw an SLR a few days ago also. But i saw them more, and i didnt make pics of them. I see R8s for ins regularly also Gallardos.

i cant talk in the behalf of europe, but CTS is viewed here as a real great alternative to BMs and Mercs. Lexuses are not as loved as in the US, but now theres also Infiniti to chose from. Ppl are Merc, BM and Audi biased mostly. The thing with luxury market here is, that there are many Jags, BMWs,, Mercedeses, Audis, Astons, Ferraris, but i cant emphsize enough how ppl dont know about Cadillacs. There are no commercials, nothing.
