While reading my latest R&T magazine on the crapper, I came across the big fat multi-page advertisment GM put in for Saturn and its 2009+ cars. Looks like they're giving Saturn a version of the Volt in 2010 among other things.

[PersonalRant] Damn you, GM. You are giving Saturn more good stuff and spending more advertising dollars on them. It won't help raise Saturn sales, and you could have spent that money on a G5 GXP, or something better than the G3 rebadge. That's it, I'm not buying any more stock until you start supporting the brand I love, and not the piece of junk Saturn is. Why should I put my money into the company if you're just going to spend it on Saturn? [/PersonalRant]

these same glossy 'exerpts' are found in other rags for Chevrolet Traverse, and Hummer H3T's.

I know, but I don't hate Chevrolet and Hummer as much as I hate Saturn. I just find it lame that after all the reinventing of Saturn, they still aren't making much more money for GM as they did when they were the plastic gas saving appliance vehicles.

I feel your pain, brother.

I don't hate Chevrolet or Hummer either, but I'd never buy one. There are better things to waste money on.

If they wanted to, they could give Pontiac some decent products using Saturn's wasted budget, for no other reason than to piss off the majority of GMI posters.

What I find lame is that GM seems incapable of reinventing anything without quitting or stopping halfway through.

Saturn is one of the few bright spots as far as product goes. The Aura and Astra need updates though.

GM needs to move Astra production somewhere where they can price the car lower and still make money which is happening with the next gen Astra. I see a lot of Auras now and I can't wait to see the next one. I think if GM gives Saturn another model cycle and advertise the new cars many people will start buying Saturns.

I always wondered how the Astra would fare, since it has been on the market elsewhere for an eternity (well, 4 1/2 years is an eternity in the fickle NA market). I'm hoping that its introduction as an older generation wont discourage people from checking out the new, more affordable version in MY2050.
