According to J.D. Power, Saturn will add a minivan, midsize SUV, and a vehicle that is "half SUV and half pickup truck" – similar to the Explorer SporTrac and Subaru Baja – to its lineup by 2007.

:p
Isn't the VUE a "midsize" SUV? [/b][/quote]

V8 Powered Saturn Sport Wagon
August 4, 2003

Saturn fans who have asked Saturn to build cars with V8 power will get their wishes granted in the 2008 model year in the form of a all-new crossover sport wagon. Automotive News reports that Saturn will offer a sport wagon in 2008 with an optional V8 engine. The unnamed vehicle will debut in 2007 powered by a V6 with both FWD and AWD models, based on GM's upcoming Lambda architecture. Sources say Saturn expects to sell 100,000 of the wagons a year.

Along with the Relay, Saturn will get a vehicle based off the Cadillac SRX crossover wagon. That will be available with an optional V8, as the Cadillac is.

The third "new" vehicle is still up in the air - the talk here amongst Saturn mgmt. is that it will most likely be a type of truck, although there is an outside chance of a sporty convertible (which is what the majority of dealers are pulling for). The decision has not been made yet.

1) Sky will be there off the Ion platform (hopefully keeping the
suicide doors).

2) Chevy is going to build a "tall wagon" remeniceint of the 1949
Suburban off the Malibu frame. Look for a Saturn "tall wagon"
that will replace the Pontiac Aztek's spot in the GM line-up. It
will resemble the Vibe.

bleech :zap:
Just what we need another "tall wagon."

Sky convertible off the Ion would be good. :D
Saturn doesn't need a pickup truck.
Saturn should get a hybrid, since it lost the EV1.

But a larger SUV? No. VUE should suit Saturn fine.

Aw hell- they're gonna lose bigtime with this plan.

Sell the Opel Speedster, Holden Crewman, and Opel Astra as Saturns. They're all different enough to attract customers without hurting the regular GM divisions.
