...thats what makes it a Saturn :lmao:front end is sweet. classy and cool. but the rear kinda gets bland.
Trust me, a lot of the complaining you hear is from people who have experienced it. I have a center-mounted one and would gladly give it up to go back to a traditional in-front-of-your-face setup. I have to glance over to see what speed I am going (definately something those of us have to do when we have a lead foot...) and also to see if any emergency lights are going off (my car dings at 37 degrees, and the thermometer is in front of my face, while any of the emergency lights (like low tire pressure monitor which uses the same *ding* if it goes off) are located on the gauge face, in the center of the dash. The drawing looks good, but I just see one problem: the IP is not in the center! I'm telling you, people that have never experienced it don't know how great it is. I hate that my next car will almost certainly have a traditional IP.
To each, his own I guess... I've loved it since day one.Trust me, a lot of the complaining you hear is from people who have experienced it. I was going to say Toyota sides and rear and very Mazda-ish in the front... still nice job thoughHmm, not to be critical (I could NOT even draw anything close to this) but it looks a bit bland. Something Toyotaish about it....
The talk of aligning Saturn With Opel predates the launch of the ION by a couple of years, so I doubt there's anything in the way of a next gen ION.I'm biased, of course, but I would like to see what a next-gen ION would have looked like. I wonder if there were ever any drawings made, or if the decision to bring over the Astra (and completely change Saturn) kept that from happening?
You are in the vast minoitry here. I've heard ramblings similar to yours at SaturnFans.com though. I've only gone on the test drive in one and I hated it. Even sitting in the passenger seat of my friend's ION, I find it weird. The drawing looks good, but I just see one problem: the IP is not in the center! I'm telling you, people that have never experienced it don't know how great it is. I hate that my next car will almost certainly have a traditional IP.
