As my lease is up soon, just wanted to see if anyone knows if there are any incentives on the Saturn Astra right now (in Canada)? What about the Cobalt - I know that has the $1250 Canadian price adjustment (on the LT and Sport) and they are offering a free sunroof. Are there any other incentives that are not advertised? The Astra is #1 on my list and the Cobalt is #2. If I can't get the Cobalt Sport with the 2.4l before they discontinue it with the features I want, I will likely go for Astra (unless the Cobalt SS is the right price, or the USB/bluetooth in the '09 convince me.)

Also I'm eligible for the Supplier discount so does anyone know what the discount would be on a Saturn Astra XR 3 Door and the Cobalt Sport 2dr or Cobalt SS 2dr.

So are you planning on leasing or buying your next vehicle?

With that said I think the only rebates on the Astra so far are either loyalty or conquest rebates (not sure what they have for that where you are at).

I was in a similar debate as you, but because I love the extra utility of the hatch, it was more do I wait and spend a little more on the Astra or just get a Cobalt. All I can say is Im glad I made the decision I did because I love the car and the fact that I never see another one on the road makes it that much better. You can probably get a Cobalt cheaper, but the Astra is the better all around car with more features.

I am probably going to lease. And after my Optra5 I do like the hatch. I think the Astra looks and has a higher quality interior then the Cobalt, plus its also nice to have something that not many people have. My local Saturn dealer has piles of Astras sitting on the lot so I'm sure some kind of incentive will come out soon, even if its just dropping the lease rate from 2.9% to maybe 0.9% to put it in line with the Cobalt. As the Astra has a slightly higher residual this wil likely make the Astra/Cobalt similar in price.
