i know its a lil late to do anything about it but my wifes 2002 saturn l200 had the ac compressor go out at 70k miles, during the summer, while she was pregnant :(
of course that compressor doesent really match up with anything else the general makes so she toughed it out and has had it that way ever since. and until rockauto.com came along, all the companies that had made them at one point or another had stopped. dealership wanted $901 for the job and we just couldnt afford that.

Yeahhh...our '93 SW2 had an A/C problem as well. Apparently the R134 refrigerant was leaking or something?
My dad went so far to fix it that he has a license to buy refrigerant now. Heheh.

Saturn's repair jobs seem to always be pretty pricey.

Sealant is a bad idea. You can also gum something else up and end up doing even more damage. I didnt know Saturn used different compressors than the rest of GM. Figures doesnt it?

My 2000 Saturn LS2 (v6) AC went out in the middle of North Dakata (no saturn dealerships), and the local GM multi lineup lot, would not touch it under warranty, in the middle of summer in 2002. 20k miles on the odo. Worst car ever.
