I have a 92 S10 Blazer w/ 4.3 that won't go over 2500 RPMs. it runs great, but while driving and stomp on it, it will get to 2500 and then almost act like it's running out of fuel. It sputters a little until I let off of it, and then runs fine just below 2500RPMs. On occasion it will run fine and get well above the 2500 and when I’m in park or neutral. Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening? I would like to do some work to this truck but I need to fix this problem first.

We had a small rad hose leak that happened to squirt a small amount of coolant right on top of two spark plugs whenever the engine was warmed up a bit. It would cause the engine to miss and sputter, loose power and fail to rev up.
It was such a small leak that it took three trips to the shop to figure out what was causing the problem. It kept comming back "No Fault Found/Unable to Duplicate Concern" because the vehicle would cool off waiting for the tech and then act fine while he was examining it. They wanted to replace the cat but wouldn't guarantee that it would fix the problem so we held off and kept comming back untill they found the actual cause.
