theres no market for a car similar to the 94-96 Impala SS? there are many websites dedicated to the B-Body's. when the Impala came out it was an instant classic, finally there was a modern day muscle car RWD and V8. in 96 when production of the impala stopped many people were dissapointed. im sure if a similar car was produced today it would sell.

Just like the camaros right?

Theres enthusiasts that like them, but we all know how well GM listens to enthusiasts.

Show me how the general car buying public could buy enough to make it feasible.

You can't.

Full size vehicles like the Crown Victoria, Marauder, Caprice, Grand Marquis, and etc just don't seem to sell well anymore. I don't see how it could work for GM without fleet and police contracts.

If new big RWD cars catch on (like the 300C, etc.) then I bet GM will bring back those loved Impalas! Heck, I'd even be happy right now if they brought the Holden By Design Statesman/Caprice from Australia and just rebadged it!

I would say bring them back (yet in different forms) with high quallity interiors. Give them the full frames with ind. suspention all around and AWD as a opt. Have a base 250+HP V6 as the base engine with an opt. 325+HP V8 5300 then an SS with 375-400HP 6000 V8. Have different body styles coupe/sedan/wagon/crossover all on a 125in WB. Offer a HYBRID version with the V6 and add DOD TECH allso and AWS as an opt. Offer them from near stripper level for $16,500 all the way up to a loaded Luxury/SS or Crossover wagon ute for 32K. Give Buick a version with its OWN look and interior Sedan/Crossover and more luxury for 25K--37K. :D

i agree with you carguy, GM would need to come out with a bunch of different models with different packages and have a cheap starting price of $16,000-$18,000 and then work your way up. hopefully we'll see one of these on the streets one day.

With all that technology in the full-loaded versions, 32K might be hard not to surpass. DOD, AWD, V8 power, AND a high-quality interior really add up. But, hey you never know! I do however like that idea of many variations and configurations, but hopefully not TOO complicated or complicated at all!!!
