The upcoming real-V versions of the CT4 and CT5 might not be getting a Blackwing V8 under the hood, but a new report says that they're coming with an even bigger surprise. A third pedal.

That's right, Muscle Cars and Trucks is reporting that the CT4-V and CT5-V cars will be getting a six-speed manual transmission. Which is a big surprise since General Motors has gotten rid of the stick in just about everything they sell, Corvette included.

We're still expecting the cars to be powered by carryover engines, the twin-turbo LF4 3.6L V6 for the CT4 and the big ol' supercharged 6.2L lump of fire that is the LT4 V8 for the CT5. Though having the 10-speed automatic option sitting next to a six-speed is one of the best bits of news we've heard from Cadillac this year.

Of course, we're now wondering if the Blackwing V8 will show up anywhere, or if the DOHC engine is going to end up a one-hit-wonder due to cost-cutting, which is what the rumors circulating are saying.
