In your opinion only - based on the illustrations... do you think there might be a shortcut for getting to the bulbs with the housings still installed.

I know thats an odd question....but I'm just figuring - would they make it that hard for a dealership to service the car all for just a blown out bulb lets say?

either way I'll tackle it

If you can access the upper fascia bracket without fascia removal, you'll strike it rich...

I don't see new Chevys, as I'm not at a Chevy dealer...

ok - I will check it out...there's a seller on ebay selling one headlight - I asked them and they said you only have to loosen things up - not remove it all.

we shall see

two thumbs up for your fast responses both here and in PM

Sister bought a new 08 Lucerne. I was going to upgrade the bulbs to Silverstars. he was nice enough to post similar diagrams.
I began the work by attemping to replace the bulbs from the top- no go.
So then came trying to remove the bumper and all related trim.
I started to remove the little plastic push pins from all over- top, bottom, wheel wells,
then the front lip came off- Then I removed a large piece of plastic on the bottom.
I think its to improve airflow on the bottom. but when I laid down on my back to start removing the bumper bolts- I happened to look up and saw the actual bulb plug....(2nd pic below- is a shot of me looking up.......)
I was able to change the bulbs by laying on my back and carefully removing and replacing them. Then I simply put all the push pin clips back on.....
maybe youll see something similar ????

It Is Simpler Than You Think.... I Just Did It A Couple Of Days Ago...

You Need Just One More Person To Help You Out On The Removal Of The Fasia

You First Begin By Removing The Wheels Both Side....

You Then Remove The Inner Liner Which Is About
.... 12 Removable Holders
......04 Bolts..

Each Side.... After Remving That U See 3 Bolts Which In The Diagram It Only Shows 2 Bolts.... Remove All Three And Slowly Tape Edges Near Headlight To Avoid Cracks Nd U And Your Partner Grab Thru The Center And Gently Pull Near Fender And Fasia Clip Off And Then Thru The Center...

Just Let Me Know If U Need Help Or Others On This...

It Only Took Me Bout 3 Hrs After We Slowly Figure It Out...
