Unlike CT5 it appears Buick went with real glass between the rear doors and C pillar. This is the most beautiful Buick in years....maybe the best GM sedan period..... other than CT6 (different category). Makes one wonder how the brand designers who penned this also created the butt ugly Envision.

Amazing to me, that GM can't successfully sell this car here.
Never once did I see the car advertised. I doubt whether many prospective car buyers even knew it existed. Amazing to me how GM introduces new vehicles, then neglects them entirely in terms of marketing and advertising. You can bet that Toyota and Hyundai would not have made that mistake.

I would have loved one of these cars!

U guys show GM that they are making a mistake in cancelling it for the U.S. Go out RIGHT NOW.. (ta hell with their non-advertising it to U.. U know it exists..)and BUY ONE and tell your friends and associates to buy one too. Heck.. right now if I lived in Detroit or even more to the point.. worked at Detroit/Hamm.. I'd have everyone I know in one of these or Impala lickity split tryin to convince GM that there was a market for them.

I'm tripping on people saying that they would have loved one of these cars when I know for a fact that they are plentiful on lots right now. Sorry.. the changes are nice, but they're not so extensive that they would stop me from buying one of these right now. Sometimes U have to get off the sideline and buy, instead of just saying U'll buy, if U want that vehicle to be in production.

Personally with the exception to the etched wood in the interior.. I like the older model more

Yup. I have recommended this car several times. The response is always the same, "What? Never even heard of that". I guess that's what happens when your CEO and BoD want to get out of the car biz.

And that is the sad truth, I love the Lax and the Impala, I'd also love to see them continue on, they turn my head every time I see one. I would love to see GM push those cars through advertising and whatnot...but we know they won't, and it might just be more money down the drain in this market.

With all that said, am I going to run out and buy one? Highly doubtful because that's just not the type of vehicle I need at this point. So how can any non buyer, or even buyer that see's the sales be upset with GM over stopping production of this highly under appreciated car? I see myself as a future buyer maybe one day, but I'm betting by that time it won't exist on our shores by then.

Could it really be by design? SUVs do have a higher profit margin
That's it. Profit margin on an Enclave vs LaCrosse is probably double. Then the absence of platform mates selling in abundance was the nail in the coffin. Especially the XTS dying

the bolded part is the ROOT of the ISSUE

build it out of OMEGA drop in a 600 BHP blackwing add a TESLA GRADE TABLET centre stack and still WATCH almost everybody IGNORE it and BUY 4 POT CUV "FAMILY CARS" and ALMOST everybody will add it to the WHEN I don't "NEED" the family car I will pick up one of these USED

I've never even seen the late model LaCrosse on the road...

Has a strong Avista influence!

.......and therein lies the problem. GM has a habit of introducing a new design, and 5 years later, it's the same car, no technology improvements at all, no AWD, no engine variants, no new interior colors, no LED lighting, no..no...no. One only has to look at the Impala and LaCrosse.

Does this 2020 Buick have AWD, does it have a TT variant, does it have 9 or 10 speed, does it have LED, does it have any new technology ????

Look how far Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan, and others, have come in 5 years. YOU HAVE GOT TO STAY COMPETITIVE ! Not Impala and not LaCrosse, a few styling tweaks are not going to cut it.....

I still don't think GM will every get away from the stigma of their larger sedans are for senior citizens in Florida. If you want status, you gotta put a Benz in your driveway. Uber drivers get Black Camry's or larger Tahoe's. The only time I see a LaCrosse on the road is driven by a higher level gov employee.

As a matter of fact this Buick DOES have LED lights, a 9 speed transmission and is available with an advanced twin clutch AWD. It also has all the latest safety systems like lane departure, auto braking, adaptive cruise etc and is available with adaptive suspension system with sport mode, paddle shifters, heads up display and more features that would cost $20k-$30k more in a German car.

Umm, the current LaCrosse has everything you just listed above already, besides a TT. And a good amount of technology too.

People here bash this car and know nothing about it.

Yeah.. I was a little lost on that one too. The LaX has had those things since 2010. The TT would have been nice, but considering what it was competing against, the ES350, I think Buick was OK without it. Ironically I believe the Impala needed it more to truly be a competitor against the SHO Taurus, but an Omega or Alpha_L based Chevy Impala would have been perfections.. and given GM an easy non-Tahoe way back into law enforcement if they were going to continue to use Zeta after the SS died

As I've said before an all new logo and font for Buick would help.

Honestly, I don't like the 3 shields, especially in the middle of the steering wheel.
If they are going to do that they really would have to abandon the name in the same way Olds was going to do back in the day going to Aurora as the namesake, trying to revitalize the brand into a Lexus/Acura fighter.

No I think they should leave the brand alone in that respect. Actually use proper marketing to change the perception of the brand as they actually started off doing with the Encore. As beautiful as this LaX is.. the Lacrosse really should have stuck to the original Lacross formula from 2010. Sales were us and didn't see a serious decline until they introduced this model.. which looked more like it was trying to emulate the Impala. In other words, buck the trend, have one brand that actually sticks to a 4 car/4 cuv line-up consisting of the Verano, Regal, LaX, and Avenir.. Encore, Envision, Envista, Enclave. The Verano and Regal would come in a avail hatch (ala Cruze Hatch) and Sport back for the Regal, as it is now. The Avenir, a CT6 sister car on Omega.

Ta hell with competing with Cadillac, who cares when the profits realized are the goal. No issues if the Avenir Concept was used.. but the Elmiraj and Escala were avail at Caddy, all using the Escala's superior face.;) GM, utilizing two luxury brands tho wipe the floor with the Germans. Buick now a "Lasalle" type brand.
