I noticed on GMSupplierdiscount.com tonight that there is a link, as there has been for months now, about the "pull-ahead" program. In months past, clicking this link would send you to a page describing the pull-ahead incentive to get out of your lease early. Since 10/1, when clicking this link, you are redirected to gm.com instead.

Did GM kill the pull-ahead incentive in October? I believe last month they would waive 2 remaining payments, and provide 2000.00 toward the PURCHASE of a new GM car if your lease was up no later than 6/30/09.

Still covering 2 payments here in Michigan and you still get $2,000 lease to purchase bonus on all 08 models.

F.Y.I. our leases are allowing the $2,000 lease to purchase bonus to be used. It helps a bit.

Yep, apparently--if I stand correct--a lot of the change was just in the naming of the new bonus cash for ending leases and SmartBuys and not really the concept itself. That was what I was told at my dealer the first of the month, when chatting about how glad I was to get under the wire with a SmartBuy back in June and a great deal. No more, sadly, but the extra cash bonus at the end of this one should hopefully still be around.

My lease ends at the end of this month. I called GMAC today and I was told that the $2000- bonus cash is gone. No more, and no indication as to when or if it will come back.
Where are you located red?

My AIS sheet states that Lease to Buy bonus is good for the following:

ALL 2008 Saturn: $2,000

2009 Astra & Sky: $1,000

2009 Outlook: $2,000

2009 Aura LE5 4cyl (not Hybrid) $2,000
2009 Aura V6: $3,000

2009 VUE LE5: $1,000
2009 VUE V6: $2,000

Someone either told you the wrong thing, or we owe GMAC a lot of money. ;)

could be in a different DMA (dlr mktg area). i know a lot of times our northeast DMA receives different incentives from southeast DMA. heck, even the philadelphia and baltimore DMA can vary and my dlrship actually falls in both!
if there is one thing i wish the folks at gm would do, is to create a simple incentive plan. it can be monthly, but just make it less confusing. my gosh, every few weeks, new programs come out and when i print them up, it's a hundred pages!!! what, is GM in the paper business nowadays??

This was a suck-off deal, because it required using GMAC to finance at untenable, insidiously high rates.

There remains a paltry, parsimonious pull ahead of 2 months if you buy an '08.

I will never deal with GMAC ever again on anything, lease, loan, whatever.
