As a rule, GM Inside News tends not to trade in renderings. But sometimes a rendering hits so many of our buttons that we can't help but share it.

Such is the case with this rendering of a 1977 Cadillac Escalade. Based on the square-body Suburban, this is not too different from what an Escalade is today. But somehow cooler?

The renderings are by Abimelic Design on Facebook, which is no stranger to making Cadillac versions of non-Cadillac cars. The Escalade, though, comes with the excellent era-appropriate brochure, which makes us want to live in this alternate universe filled with luxurious square-bodies.

Someone call Jonathan Ward and tell him about this so we can get an Icon version of this.
