I love both of these cars a great deal.

But using a Civic LX sedan (from the looks of it in Borrego Beige Metallic), isn't really fair, when the EX is at $18,000 and the Malibu is at $19,000. The EX-L would've been a better comparison.

Still, the more I see the Astra, the more I like.

I'm pretty sure the Civic was lined up against the Astra, not the Malibu.

Thanks for the pics. Unfortunately, the rear end looks even more awful + they should NEVER offer it with those alloys!

(I wanted to post a NICE pic, but this one actually looks like an reenactment of the "Malibu ad" once posted here by one of the members. I knew GM would copy it and they did!)

I love the wheels in that picture. And yes, the rear is horrible too IMO. It's like the designers were only paid for a certain number of hours and ran outta time at the end. Went home and said "fvck it"

Cool, thanks for sharing! Astra is looking really good. Definitely the most stylish small car on the market, IMO. The 3-door is a very cool car, all we need now is an RL model! :drive: And a panoramic windshield, 4-door sedan, etc. :D

I noticed in one of the pics (the first one where they are all lined up) that one of Malibu's have two circular backup lights on each tailight while all the others only have one per side. Anyone know what this mean?--Different trim level, hybrid??

Many people have been critical of the rear end. I saw it as a VW knock-off, but haven't much minded it--at least not before I saw the white car in these pics. The new 'Bu definitely looks best in darker shades.

Spin it?

Traction control was available on the Five Hundred. Both it and stability control are available on the new Taurus, and standard on the Taurus X.

I'm guessing Christmas is the earliest. All I want for Christmas is rates and residuals so I can start selling them.
