The Oldsmobile Bravada does have overall the same shape as its platform sharing cousins, but IMO it has its own distinct look and style. If I am not mistaken these GMT-360vehicals share only there front door, roof, and tailgate sheet metal. The GMT-360 is built off a true SUV body on hydro-formed frame chassis, but the Bravada has a more luxury feel suspension including an electronic air suspension in the rear. This gives the Bravada a strong feel and presence with a luxury ride, and gives you the advantages of that awsome chassis without the box car ride. As with the other GMT-360's the interiors are all different(except the Rainier/Bravada which have similar interior and exterior sheet metal because the Rainier is replacing the Bravada) with the Bravadas being the most luxurious, and slightly euro. The Bravada also packs more standard content than the others, except Rainier. The Bravada(and Rainier) also have an advanced all-wheel drive sytem that is very capable, but lacks the low range that its cousins' true 4 wheel drive system offers. Overall the 360's have the same platform but all have distinct stlying with the Bravada being the most Euro and luxurious of them.
Compared to the Rendezvous the first thing you notice besides the Buick style is the smaller size. that is because the Rendezxous is a crossover SUV and is based on a car/minivan platform. This gives a more car like ride, ingress and egress, and look. Though it has an available allwheel drive system, this vehical is intended for luxury people hauling and snowy weather. It's major competitor is the Lexus RX330 which is also a smaller crossover SUV. They also have different powertrains. The Bravada and the other 360's come standard with the award winning 4.2L inline six with 275hp/275lbft of toque, and depending on model an optional 5.3L V8 with 290hp/325lbft of torque. While the Rendezvous has a standard 3.4L V6 with 185hp/210lbft of torque with an optinal 3.6L V6 with 245hp/235lbft of torque, and all vehicals have a 4spd auto transmission. So if you are looking for a substancial and solid SUV with a luxury feel and attitude, thats an Olds Bravada, but for a smaller car-like and capable luxury suv, stick with the Rendezvous.
