First time since 1953. 51 years of fabulous Eldorados. We should have seen it coming when the once mighty Eldorado became known as the ETC. (To illustrate how stupid that was, think of it this way: you're named John D. Rockefeller, V, and you've got the money to prove it. But you decide the world should call you JDR. You'd be suddenly meaningless.)

CoolCaddy's mention of a Fleetwood makes me wonder - when did GM succeed in sinking that great name? I'm recalling a outside supplier modified stretch DeVille they called a Fleetwood in the mid-90's. But I think the name disappeared for several years before that, didn't it?

Breaks my heart to think of how badly they've squandered such great, powerful names.
