This is SO well executed, and with SUCH a fine blending of the full history of Corvette design cues, I have a hard time believing this is just a prop for the movie keeping in mind GM's heavy presence in these two movies.....I think they are testing this out on the public and so far the response seems overwhelmingly positive. I really hope the C 7 looks very close to this....brave, stunning, balanced yet not overwrought.

This is a movie car, kind of like what George Barris (Batmobile) used to do. A company such as GM would never risk an icon with something this "over the top." Look at that c pillar the way it interrupts the side glass, this is ridiculous!

GM should develop a new Corvette to replace the C6 eventually, and have it be more conventional, but still make THIS...call it the "C7" or something...cool people will drive it, others drive the Corvette

Not really, if you look at this pic of the rear :

you would see that it has a GM design studios plate on it, I have a feeling that this is a corvette concept we will see this autoshow season.

If this turns out to be a concept for the next Vette, GM will NOT put it into production since it is garnering near-universal praise, just as they did with Velite, LaCrosse, Sixteen, Cien, Riviera concepts that wowed nearly everyone. What did we get instead?.....Aztec, "G-8 is car", G-3/Aveo, a ute that should have been an El Camino if given a Malibu-style nose....Don't build the GREAT stuff, pour production funds into lame embarassing cars....then wonder aloud why Honda and Toyota are leapfrogging past them. This Vette is WAY too cool for GM to build, so THIS time I will NOT harbor hopes that turn out to be baseless....I am tired of being let down by the company whose cars I adored as a kid and teen.

Just two recent seemless concept to production cars.
While this car wont ever seen production because its crazy outlandish, would have a massive drag cD, the polarizing design would blow everyone righto ut of the Vette.
This will be the design theme for the Vette...but not THE car.
