anyone remember the Nissan Sport Concept? That is how the Versa (or Stentra were to look - close to the current Megane ... but no!!! We get something awful ..

Versa = Clio... this is one class larger, and if it ends up rebadged as a Nissan, it will be taking the Sentra's spot in the lineup.

They're already somewhat back to the US... Nissan. Why start a new sales channel from scratch when you already have one?

I was thinking the same thing; the 4 door does look better. I hope we'll be able to buy this in North America in some form or fashion. It's a great looking car.

Me too. The window line reminds me too much of the Ford Focus hatch.

But yeah, that's a fantastic looking little car.

This is a good looking car. Far more impressive than the current Astra and the CGIs of the new Astra also.

The old version (though polarising) was much more inspiring. This looks like a Mazda 2 with some added beef. Looks more Japanese than french.

Actually, it looks like a Kia Cee'd take-off... Very "inexpensive" looking from the side... At least it is quite proportional - the new Laguna looks like a thick pancake sliding from the pan.

Interior somehow resembles Saab/Cadillac BLS design theme (i.e. Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS of yore), but the steering wheel is a rare example of a "modern" one I would touch (take note, Opel!)

I find it a bit surprising that almost everyone seems to love it. Think about it: had Kerkorian managed to succeed in allowing GM to be taken over by Renault, this could have been rebadged as the next Cobalt and brought to the US.
