Hi guys now that the two week seminar program i was going to is over I have alot more time to go looking for testers. On my trip to CTC today i had a fairly productive trip. here is the first two vehicles i saw the third is going to be looked at by BP before I do anything further

Here is the first tester a silver Avenger R/T. I almost didn't snap this one but notice the license plate or rather the lack of one and the unique rims. This could be an old tester or maybe it could be the turbo charged Avenger that Duspinnst mentioned awhile back

and heres the second vehicle an 09 TRX 4 Ram model. I had to be a tad bit stealthy for this one because even though it was on a public parking lot there were two engineers parked in another truck off camera so i had to make sure i was not noticed. And this is the first time i have observed an 09 TRX out in the wild. again the third (and most significant tester I shot) will be looked at By BP and if I hear from her i will post them

Re: New Chrysler tech center pics

For a second I thought you were refering to the Cadillac CTS coupe! ;)

oops sorry the acronym I used (besides being used for the CTS coupe) also means Chrysler tech center. Next time I'll make sure to use the whole name (I was in a rush when i was typing)

No need to apologize, it was me jumping to conclusions! :)

Same. :D

The Ram TRX looks good but TRX? Has this been used before? Its a little close to TRD....

Thanx the front of that particular model looked good as well and the TRX lettering has been used in the past but on older Rams

Hi guys i just got a reply from BP. Unfortunately she could not use these shots due to this vehicle being shot numerous times in the past. But I figured I'd post them here anyway. Oh and in case you are wondering about the identity of this tester it is a BMW X6 hybrid tester with the mutated powerdome hood. This tester along with the M class hybrids i shot a few weeks back are testing a two mode system that will also be used by the big three. The BMW testers in particular managed to elude my Lens twice before at MPG several months back so i was more than ready to snap off a couple shots when this one showed up at CTC. Enjoy and sorry about the image quality but its hard to shoot and drive at the same time

Cool. The BMW, at least that tester, is a X5 not an X6 and that Avenger above really is nothing special, aside from the plate deal--those are the optional chrome wheels on the R/T.

Wish I lived somewhere that I could see such things;) Closed I got was a new current gen Durango a few months before actual saleable production started, with Michigan tags, down here at a beach pizza place.

Oh ok thanks for the ID caddy I still get confused sometimes when it comes to distinguishing the X5 and 6. And its alot of fun going to the different proving grounds and tech centers and seeing new product being created. I just can't wait to see a Chrysler project D car I'm sure those will show themselves eventually

Thanx and I'll try to go for some interior shots but Its not often I have that chance. Most of the time the testers are either going on the highway or leaving the highway and entering the CTC compound

Your not the only one, I have wanted to see the first results of Chrysler's new ideology on interiors as well and whether this new ideology works. At the same time though i do not want to find out what the Chrysler welcome wagon is like for spy photogs who trespass onto the compound itself beyond the fence. I will be on the look out for 09 chargers and will snap interior shots if given the chance

You could be right and I thought it was a very informative vid. Also, I actually use the same spot over at Milford that Jim dunne used though the anti camera walls are alot higher now. I tend to be pretty elusive and as such i rarely cross paths with security. though me and a friend (who is my accomplice and driver when we go to Milford) were escorted out once by a unmarked security vehicle after he spotted us while he was out on "photog patrol" along the public roads that are near the track perimeter. I'll admit i do not have the same resources as say Chris Doane or Brian Williams but i do what i can
