What are people paying for the new Equinoxes?
Can they be had for under MSRP yet? Invoice?
If they are selling for under MSRP, before rebate,
I might be able to get one instead of a Saturn...

I know the local dealer here is selling one for around 25,000. I dont know if they will come down from that but I think with the price of gas going every week that they are selling cars and SUVs that get good gas mileage for what they sticker says. Some local dealers cannot keep the new Aveo in stock right now because people want the gas mileage right now.

Gas prices are ruining my plans, that is for sure.
I could get a Durango with the 4.7L V8 for $22K,
but that sucker is going to gulp gas, and I do not
have that much need (well, no need) for 3rd row
seating. Kid #1 is not even here yet... :)

an aztek with the fold-down rear seats and inflatable mattress option might speed up kid #2!

An Equinox should be able to be bought for under MSRP... and there is a $1000 truckfest bonus. Happy shopping.

The problem is Saturn offers a $3500 incentive.
And it comes w/ better power and fuel economy.

So I was hoping the Equinox could be bought at
a cheap enough level to at least be competitive
in terms of the price... we shall see, I guess. :)

Why is the Equinox so hard to find at dealers?
My local dealer says they are not getting many
of them at all. Surfing the web for other Chevy
dealers in the area (Houston) and it appears the
'nox is hard to find. What is the deal?

They are selling well despite low production right now. I belive they sold 6500 units last month as production hits full swing. This might be a hit that might not get the incentive package as much as an Impalla.

I'm going to go test drive an Equinox today.
The Saturn, while has a great motor, felt real
cheap on the inside. If the Equinox gives us
a better feeling overall, we might go that way
instead of the Vue.
