Great looking car in my opinion. Love the sport profile of the exterior design. I don't know if it just me but when you take a look at the Chevy Cruze from the rear end, it screams BMW 3-series which is a good thing in my opinion. :yup: And the interior is should I say "class leading". :)

What do you guys think?

The inside door area (where the window and mirror controls are) reminds me of my Jetta...and so does the rear. This isn't a bad thing either. I love my Jetta. I would love to buy the Cruze. I wish it were available in the US right now!!! Hurry up GM!

Still not a fan, still think it manages to look bland and weird at the same time, the family running a train on themselves in one of the pics is interesting though....
hahahahahaha holy crap, i just looked at that and laughed for like 5 minutes straight... what did the photographer tell them to do? :lmao:

You have to see the Cruze in person! Pictures don't do it justice. It looks too freaking upscale for the segment its going to be fighting in. That's a good thing. I saw it in person at the Washington Auto early February. Like I stated before, "The interior looks class leading in my opinion". :yup:

It is nice to see that they have head restraints for the rear seat passengers in these pictures.

I still think the gap between the hood and the top of the grill and over the inner half of the headlights looks large. It is very noticeable and in my mind begins to question the fit and finish right away.

I almost think it would look better without the smaller, meshed grill at the top. If they did away with the small, upper grill they could bring the hood right down to the horizontal bar with the Chevy bowtie and I think it would look more appealing and the gap might go away (or at least not be as noticeable.)

My feelings exactly. This car does not look like it will age well. The front end has some nice, bold elements in it, but the side is way too generic (and of course the stupid blacked out rear triangle thing) and the rear is way too Korean and already dated. The interior looks great though, those guys did their job correctly. Unfortunately I don't think it's enough to save the car, seeing as it will be arriving pretty late as well. I'd already take a Mazda 3 (even the last gen one) over this, as well as the Euro Focus.

That front end looks worse than I thought.
It looks like the love child of a Malibu and Aveo.

Very dissapointing. GM made a big mistake in letting GMDAT design it. The recent GM NA models were all looking awesome (Malibu, Traverse, Equinox) and then they roll out this abortion.

The interior looks nice but fabric on the dash will look cheap, especially if it tears-a really BAD idea.

Lets see-ugly front end, fabric on dash, cheap plastic piece on rear panel, ridiculous name=another Compact mediocrity from GM.

Welp, I guess the next Focus will be my next buggy although I may pick up a new Cobalt if the deal is amazing so I can get rid of my GM Card points.

I love the design direction. I hope GM & Chevy continue down this path when it comes time to redesign the Impala.

Newsflash - in 2009 GM introduces their 1990 product to compete with the likes of the 1990 Toyota Corolla and Nissan Sentra and Honda Civic.

This product is pathetic - the grill is awful, the rest of the vehicle is PURE BLAND - not one ounce of passion or style - a forgettable product that will be IGNORED by the buying public.

By the time the Chevrolet Cruze (sic) will be launched Hyundai's products will punch it in the nose and send the Cruze whining to its daddies Putz and Welburn. Honestly, if this is GM's idea of recovery, let's pull the plug now - showing a complete indifference to the consumer with a product that you wouldn't want to be seen in. Perhaps GM couldn't just put a cardboard box on an engine and transaxle and four wheels and come off doing as well.

The new Cruze (sic) - a shining example of the ills of GM - putting so much effort in such an invisible product.

The new cruize looks cool and I see the resemblence (SP) to the 3 series out back although I'm not sure its a good thing)

Does this product have an SS version with the 260 hp turbo four like the cobalt ss?

I bet that would be a kick @ss product to create a halo for the whole lineup or is it just the 1.4 turbo that wll be available? (for good gas mileage...blah..blah..blah)

In my opinion, like many GM vehicles, the Cruze looks better in certain colors and from certain angles. I think it shows best in the darker color in those two shots at the base of the Eiffel Tower ( ? ), and I thought the photos from when Rick Wagoner was on a stage with a red Cruze and an engine on a stand looked good ( maybe that was at Lordstown? ).

Looks Great! Hopefully we'll see in the US sometime before GM goes belly up.

On a less sarcastic note...I love the Maroon Cruz parked at the Eiffel Tower. It has bigger wheels, 16" or 17" inches I'm guessing but it looks great. For me i'd like to have sunroof of course with a very small deck lid spoiler.

Does anyone know if there will ever be a Coupe?

http://www.vindy.com/news/2009/feb/07/upgrades-to-add-more-flexibility-to-lordstown/ according to that article from the local paper, were going to be more flexible than ever before. its been RUMORED that we at the lordstown plant may get a coupe, and wagon version of the cruze, the orlando, and spark. Like i said, those are rumors, but with the 350 million investment into the plant to bring the cruze in, the previous investment in a new paint shop in 2005 for the cobalt, and it being the 2nd largest GM plant in the US - i would imagine that they would want to utilize it to its fullest extent.
