The newly available 2004 Bonneville SLE Premier Edition offers a unique blend of distinctive exterior and interior features, including athletically contoured swept profile, special exterior paint finish, power sunroof with garage door opener, leather-appointed bucket seats, dual climate controls, and XM Satellite Radio

I love those pics!! And I didn't know anything about a special edition ;)

Ooohhh...if it wasn't for that thing called "money," I'd love to have one; it'd be an upgrade from my '94. I like what they've done with it. I think the shape cleans up very nicely, and you can't knock the V8... :D , only the fact that it's driving the wrong wheels.
Very nice. The interior has some nice tweaks, like chrome door handles, and other touches I recognize as different from my 2000 SSEi.

However, the "2004 Bonneville SLE Premier Edition" Looks exactly like a 2000 SSEi (without the supercharged Engine?). Well, at least from that angle it does. Not sure about the rear. In fact it has most if not all of the same trim options (except the XM radio which wasn't available on my early 2000 Bonnie) -- so it looks like they found a way to keep the SSEi in the lineup - or at least with the base engine.

It looks like they did a pretty good job - not to mention the cool Northstar...! Now if they could only up the horses to 300... :D it would be PERFECT.

Don't forget the suede inserts in the leather seats!! I think that is pretty cool!

Also: I would like to see that engine cover on ALL Pontiacs!

Me too. I'd like to see the "Northstar V8" engine cover in a Sunfire. Let's see how fast that baby will go with 1000 fewer pounds to haul!
This car stole the show for Pontiacs at the last Detroit auto show.

Unlike the GTO, this car actually looks much better in person than the pictures.

The interior is still kind of ugly though.

You think the GTO is ugly in person?? If it is half as awesome as it looks in those blues pics, I will be happy! :D
the rear fascia - tail lights and such - look too angular for my tastes, especially with the big, thick links going off on tangents everywhere.

any opinions on the matter?
I've always liked Bonnevilles in person (and in these pictures  ), but I had to see the new Malibu in person to find it really good looking. Pictures can't always give you the right idea of dimensions and all.

The one thing that bothers me on the interior of the Bonneville GXP is the stereo. Overall, a fine looking car.

yeah, it needs a DVD based Navigation system!!!!
Sweeet, that GXP looks hot. I like how they thinned and sculptured the lower panels (cladding?), looks much better than the thick bulky cladding on the premier edition. The front bumper facia looks alot better too, those big round driving lights on the premeir edition just don't flow well with the front. IMHO.
The interior of the Bonneville is a weak spot. It looked great to me in 2000, but by today's standards there's too much going on with the dash. The air vent areas and door panels should have less individual pieces to them.

The radio head unit is fine for a 25-30K vehicle, but is really sub-par for the GXP. Even cheap Honda Accords have Nav systems.
Sometimes GM just needs to demand more of AC Delco.

I was really hoping for a revised steering wheel, too - this one still says "late 1990's" to me.

That said, my Bonnie has had an amazing lack of squeaks and rattles compared to every other car I've owned, so they must have done something right with the dash design.
Looks absolutely gorgeous from every angle except the straight-on side view, which looks a little too 90's to my eyes. Is that just me?
It does kinda have a 90's look to the side view, but those angles are awesome!!
Gm needs to step away from overlapping plastics in there interiors. Other then that, it looks awesome.
Very nice. The SLE looks great in person too. Decisions, descisions...
i want that shifter. thats all i got to say.

That's a beautiful automobile! If only it was available with a manual tranny
