This one came from Grassroots Motorsports. Look at what appear to be a staggered tire sizes, and the width of the rear tires.

When is the Camaro being officially shown?
Detroit? That would make sense.

6th Gen ZL1 or Z/28 maybe? That is some meaty rubber on the back.

Has this been officially released that it will be there? I hope so.

Nope. GM is very tight lipped. But the new Camaro will be at a dealer near you in about a year, so if not Detroit, then Chicago or New York. Detroit makes the most sense.

Who knows. But you also get a sense of the new Camaro's tighter proportions in this pic compared to some of the long range, telephoto pics we've seen previously.

True. We've seen what seems to be the base and SS Camaro loss the black cladding so something must be very different with this one to have the camo added back on. Maybe GM will be rolling out the high performance models a little faster on the 6th Gen than they did with the 5th.

I hope so. I can see the logic of a staggered rollout, but who wants to wait years for their favorite model?

Also, do the rear quarters look flared or widened compared to previous pics? If so, this might be the "wide body" HP version planned for '18.
I want a shot of the interior!

You're right.
I doubt this is a special model this early. No doubt its at least a SS or maybe 1LE.

Those tires are pretty meaty. Maybe Chevy wasn't getting the results they wanted from smaller tires and decided to increase footprint.

Don't know to be honest, but I do know that work has begun on the "HP" version.

Look at the portion of padding on the hood which is similar to that of the front, indicates that air might be exiting through there (extractor hood).

Yea ZL1 & Z/28 are probably a ways away. Reuss just told Motortrend that the next Camaro SS will be as fun as the ZL1, so all the chassis handling will be spot on and will probably have a MRC option
based what i see, it seems they are keeping the same styling which i am happy about.

It makes sense to have the 6th gen Camaro ready for Detroit. With the rumor of Ford showing more performance models there, it's the perfect place to try to steal some of that thunder.

I was looking at it the other way around. Ford is throwing a ton of performance cars at Detroit knowing the new Camaro will be there.
