GreenHunter set to turn on taps at Houston biodiesel refinery

GreenHunter Energy Inc. will officially open America's largest biodiesel refinery on June 2, turning on the taps at its 105 million-gallon-per-year plant in east Houston.

Dallas-based GreenHunter (AMEX: GRH) will produce its high-grade B100 -- which is made from non-food feedstock -- at the converted waste-oil refinery along the Houston Ship Channel.

The company plans to generate enough electricity at its facility to sell surplus power back to the grid.
