Mysterious Chevrolet Cruze prototype spied in Europe

While the car is heavily camouflaged, it has a unique grille front fascia which differs from the Chinese-spec model that was unveiled last April. This could suggest it's an American variant but that's far from official at this point.

Makes sense to put a different "face" on an American vs. Chinese Cruze, seems like we have different tastes and this is a what I assume is a cheap way to appease both markets.
Maybe some of those renderings that plastered an Impala face on the Chinese Cruze weren't that far off after all! If you look close at the headlight cutouts they sort of look like the renderings we've seen of the new Camaro too. Keeping it all in the American family maybe? Still, the camo they use now is really good at tricking the eye, even when it comes to the cars door, trunk, hood, and headlight cutouts. Look at that misleading hard line on the rear door for instance. The real one is a lot lighter. The hood cutout is strange near the headlight, but that might be a trick too?
It can't look worse than the 2015 Cruze

The headlight seems to follow the same arc as the ones in the shadowy picture that was shown at Detroit. The China market 2015 CRUZE has less arc or radius to the headlights and is straighter more angular. The hood on this also has a similar hood shut line down the fender and along the grill as the New Camaro.

Certainly no worse than the multiple mistakes GM made on the 2013 Malibu.

Maybe it is a model that can get out of its own way OR deliver EPA posted mileage - the current Snuze can't do either.

It was bizarre, only a year before a new model was coming out and they spent money to fix (ruin) the best part of the car! The back end could have used a re-do and they should have made the 1.4T standard with a larger engine option to keep up interest. Just a bizarre move

The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze looks fine in person.

Yeah I just don't get it here. It looks really good. Leds give it presence. Looks a lot more expensive in person than the previous version did.

As an early critic of the '15 Cruze front end, I have to agree. Now that I've seen it in person and walked around it, the thing is not as bad as it looked on "film". There was no need for this to have been done though, because I don't think this model had really become stale in the marketplace. It is hard to say what's going on under all the camo because like MalibuMan2010 says, it has the Measles. I think those upper horizontal bars could be fake.

I've seen a few on the road. It looks ****ed up.

I'm going to have to agree with the others. I think it looks good.

I'd own and drive it.
The revised U.S. CRUZE looks fine in person. I've seen a few in the last couple of weeks (LTZ's I think) and one of them was red and it looked very striking. I don't think the front needed the change but the old fog light area now looks much better. I don't think the new grill is necessarily better, but taken in concert with the other changes it somehow manages to look more expensive.

I have a hunch it'll stay in production for a while after the new one arrives as the classic for rental fleets, otherwise why spend the money on a revised front for only one year?

I wonder if the 2016 will be at Chicago?

Oh. I took MalibuMan2010's reference to 'disneyland' to be a reference to the camo's resemblence to dalmatian spotting as in the animated "101 Dalmatians", or the live action variations "101" or even "102".

Mea culpa.
Isn't that just a new Volt?
