Whats with the Degage or whatevr that thing is? Why not the Malibu? Why is the Tahoe, the best selling SUV, lumped in with the discontinued Blazer? I really don't like the name Scottsdale, it sounds very 80's. Also the Tahoe should not be made purely for off-road. 150% of Tahoe owners I know use them for city driving, not tackling the Rubicon.

where's the SSR? AND SUBURBAN? honestly, any lineup will do for me, as long as they keep the models that spark nostalgia like Impala, CAMARO, Monte Carlo, Chevelle, Malibu, hell even nova and keep them the way they were meant to be driven, RWD V8! wake up GM!

I can't stand a boring midsize family sedan using that name "Malibu", it's just not right!

And the Blazer would be very similar to the Tahoe... the Tahoe isn't being "lumped in" with the Blazer... it's basically the other way around... Blazer is basically a more off-roadish, 3-door version of the Tahoe.

The Suburban is in there... and I ended up taking out the SSR... had it in before... considering adding it back it...

that's alot of stuff lol, mine is just basic and not overpowering towards the other GM brands:

Aveo-styling like next gen, all the safety stuff, 1.8L ECOTEC engine 125 HP etc
Cobalt-Remain the same
Malibu-Adopt SS front and replace grey interior with black interior
Impala-Remain the same as 2006
Monte Carlo-rwd platform like I want GP to be, same styling though as 2006
Corvette-Remain the same
Camaro-GTO platform with chevy body, 3.9L V6 and 5.3L V8
Uplander-3.9L V6 only
Express-Remain the same
Silverado-base engine 3.9L V6, 5.3L V8 and 6.0L
Tahoe/Suburban-5.3L V8 and 6.0L V8, cheaper value model available
lol, ehh... what can I say? You know how I am w/ "My Ideal Lineup's"... I go all out. :D

I think it's Perfect. You have the cars just how they were meant to be. You should go up there and help GM out in doing these cars. Give 'em some direction!

Too many cars, trucks and SUVs. Everyone here wants to keep all or most of GM's brands. So, time to cut away a few models and get Chevy back to it's sporty roots.

It probably looks like more than there actually is because 3 of those 4 posts are posted w/ equipment, so it used up alotta room. But yes, there are alotta cars. My feeling on Chevy: Chevy builds cars for everyone. I might trim it back a bit though, we'll see. :p

Re: My Ideal Chevy Lineup (2nd Ed.) - Ready for comments!

Ive got a few complaints, first off the aveo, as an ex chevy tech, i can attest that we all hated that daewoo. it should be dropped. replace it with a bargan basement stripped cobalt or something, but get rid of it. the cobalt gets similar gas mileage in a larger safer vehicle anyway.

also, i noticed you listed an option for the IROC, a DVD infotainment center??? say it aint so, the IROC was a street version of a race car, if its gonna be called that, make it what it was. Also, the IROC wasnt a drag car, it was a handling car, so give it beefy anti roll bars and a great suspension with great power. and i think it should be called the Z28, unless its used in IROC racing again, the two cars were basically the same thing anyway and the Z28 has alot more heritage to it.

With the trucks i would add something else, a jeep fighter. GM has chosen to make every truck in its lineup a cushy loaded fully optioned technology center. hell when i decided to buy a 4x4 for moving to the mountains for school, i imediatly blew off the new trucks (although i love the LS engines or duramax and allison trans) in favor of finding an older K5 Blazer from the early 70's. I think they are loosing major sales for that reason. A smaller SUV on the order of a Jeep Wrangler, with a convertable top (K5 blazer anyone), hummer style geared hubs, and the I5 3500 would be a great addition to the lineup, maybe include a GPS system and onstar as options for those that really wanted them.

I think that GM has really shot itself in the foot with all these high technology gizmos for cars and trucks. makes them more expensive to make, and more costly to buy, a two fold hit in profits because people go to other companys that dont hit the wallet as hard. I mean honestly, some silverado pickups are going for 50k, thats absurd. a short bed silverado with the Z71 suspension, decent radio, 6.6L turbodiesl and allison tranny, with cloth interior and such, and stripped of all its techno goodies for 25k-35k, would certainly do much to help GMs profits. It just seems to me they need to simplify.

Re: My Ideal Chevy Lineup (2nd Ed.) - Update 2

Updated a bit... Aveo is still there but all-new... not an update of the current one. After all, Chevy needs something that'll fit peoples tastes should they be wanting a basic mode of transportation that's inexpensive and very fuel-efficient... (note I said new engines)
