i was driving my 95 Jimmy last night and the engine blew. It's very annoying. All the oil leaked out, and the engine seized.
The car had to be towed.

And it is only a 1995 model? That sucks.
4.3L longblocks, around here, are ~$900.
Probably even cheaper to have it rebuilt.

A rebuilt engine is $750 Canadian. and another $400 or so for installation.
That sucks, but doesn't hurt the pocketbook too badly. I don't know what caused it. I'll find out once they start the work. I could have driven over something without knowing.

If it's four wheel drive it could have been the oil lines going to the filter. Did you notice the loss of oil?

Not until it was too late. I didn't notie any oil on the ground (I didn't think to look). The second the dash light came on, the car stalled, and it was game over.
