MLB All-Star Game MVP Alex Bregman picked up a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro SS to cap off his performance at the game held Tuesday night at Nationals Park in Washington, DC.

It was the Houston Astros third-baseman's first appearance in the All-Star Game, and he hit the game-winning 10th-inning home run that took the American League to victory. Bregman also competed in the Home Run Derby, where ironically he was knocked out in the first round. Guess he gets the last laugh this time.

Chevrolet has been the official vehicle of Major League Baseball since 2005, so along with the Ted Williams MVP award, Bregman got his choice of either a new Colorado ZR2 or the redesigned 2019 Camaro. Bregman chose the new Camaro SS and its 6.2L 455 hp V8.

But Bregman said in the Fox postgame interview he had thought about the Camaro or ZR2 decision before the game even started. "They were giving me a hard time and said if it happened, my dad wanted the truck and my mom wanted the Camaro," he said. "I had to give it to my mom." that's why he picked the Camaro, but why you might not see him driving around in it. At least not without an excited and proud-looking passenger.
