Okay, I know this is going to sound weird, but here is my issue. When the engine isn't fully warmed up, if I go above 3500RPM, I will hear a metal scraping sound, which is as best as I can describe it. I can rev it to 6000RPM all day while the engine is warm and never hear it, only when it is cold.

What could this possibly be? There doesn't seem to be any adverse effect on the engine and there are no metal shaving I can see in the oil.
