Never liked the R. Probably because I had a B class and hated it, and this thing just looks like a blown up B class.

 

Easily the ugliest Merc. Probably because it's a minivan that refuses to acknowledge it.

It is pretty impressive how ballsy a lot of those big Mercs are and how popular they are. Over here, I see C63's all over the place, and the C-class isn't that big of a car, but that engine is what, 390 cubic inches? Holy crap!

 

Drivers of "senior" Mercedes-Benz models seem to like to show off their affluence. When you see AMG S and E models all over the place (and even S550s with 4Matic), it makes you wonder where all of the "common" S-Class models are sold!

Around here, smaller engined C-Class models are a dime-a-dozen, but even the big-engined S and Es drive by quite often.

R-Classes of any stripe continue to be rare, although I will pass a first-generation (pre facelift) R-Class on occasion.
