I wish I could. The Chevy dealership near me has probably the best looking HHR SS I've seen. Metallic blue, sunroof, limited slip, upgraded sound system, etc.

No, but my Daddy and I checked out a G8 yesterday. Even he said it looks good, but why the hell can't they build it here? LOL! It had everything but leather and sunroof. Stickered at $29,995. Ol' pops wasn't crazy about the price, either! It is a quite roomy car.

Nah, no time to go car shopping.

Plus I decided to sit tight and wait for a slightly-used CTS to come across the block. I don't want to take that huge first year hit just to say it's a new car, although I do plan on keeping whatever I buy (which is likely to be a CTS) for at least 4+ years.

I was leaning toward the G8 for a while, but at $4+ per gallon, I can't rationalize a V8 for a 50 mile roundtrip commute. I'd never keep my foot away from the gas pedal, either. :) Plus, I like the styling and interior - plus nav availability - of the CTS more.

Gas has soared above $4.00 per gallon and my 22-mpg-despite-my-grandfatherly-driving-style-6-cylinder car is just eating up the contents of my wallet. The bug under my butt to buy something more fuel efficient has returned, a bug that has been coming and going for the past 6 months or so.

Someone please tell me "Keep your car. It does not financial sense to get rid of it.";)

Im buying a 2008 Cobalt coupe LS this weekend. Either Silver or Red with the 2.2/5speed. :) Gas is absolutely killing me in the TBSS since I got a new job back in january and its just not worth it anymore. 14MPG avg. with premium to 28MPG using regular will put a but load of cash back in the pocket!

450+HP SUV to a 140HP econo box is going to be quite a shock...
