Slim pickings.

I think the 9-3 is slightly out-of-date but remains barely acceptable. The 9-5 and the 9-7x just don't seem to have a much of a place in 2008, let alone 2009.

So, should someone who likes the 9-3 buy it, given the unhealthy condition of this brand? Saab has one almost competitive vehicle, and nothing else to speak of. This is such a shame.

I think there will be GM parts for Saab for a long while even if they retire or sell the brand name but the 'unhealthy' issue may relate to resale value if that's what you mean.

Saabs have long been overpriced and uncompetitive and yet special - but seem to have lost that latter quality under GM lately. But maybe the overpriced aspect is helped by the big discounts I am hearing about. Given these discounts, now might be about the best time to buy a Saab if one likes them.

That 9-3 interior shot is actually of the convertible...so it doesn't have the aluminum accent running the length of the door.

the 9-5 interior pictured we dont even get in america, as thats the base of the base model shown.

this is the base 9-5 interior we get.

I really find the 9-5 exterior handsome and distinctive but I suppose I am in the minority.

No doubt though that the interiors are boring and that these cars are overpriced.
Go for it!

I am guessing that I will be one of only 200 people who will purchase/lease a 9-5 this month. The lease rates* are incredible - go test drive one!

*1.75% on a GM SmartLease Plus gives you approx $425 a month for 27 months with NO money down. Figure includes the $1000 Saab loyalty incentive, List = $ 38460.

I am leaning towards another brand but Saab still has my attention. In speaking with my local Saab rep, the MSRP is very high but the incentives are insane! I'm gonna go check one out this week.....

Yay for the 9-5 playing Buick Century. Hopefully it does not take three model cycles to catch up like the Buick has. From the looks of the Insignia/Invicta the 9-5 can only be better.
