I enjoyed the comments way more than the presentation. This is again a case of GM better not forget what butters the bread full-size ICE trucks/SUVs. Most people would liked improvements on those ICE vehicles and maybe even some hybrid tech along with small block V8 before they want electric anything. I think the electric fanboys and coastal elites will gobble up the first high end rounds of these electrics but GM had better know who there ‘real‘ customer in middle America is… Those people in middle America aren’t asking for electric vehicles, you know there loyal customers who buy a new farm truck every other year. The screwed up Washington politicians and green socialist mob are asking, begging for electric… Not the loyal traditional customer base. GM don’t forget the folks who actually buy and like your ICE products. If you want to have some fun, click on the watch this on Youtube icon and read through the comments over there. My, my, my. And get ready for ashow.

The ones making all the noise... and therefore getting all the attention are those fanbois and elites along with the Washington political fools and the greenies. The masses aren't "there and sold" yet if ever.I think the electric fanboys and coastal elites will gobble up the first high end rounds of these electrics but GM had better know who there ‘real‘ customer in middle America is… Those people in middle America aren’t asking for electric vehicles, you know there loyal customers who buy a new farm truck every other year. You do realize that people who live on the coasts buy more way vehicles than “middle America” Most of the major population centers are on either coast.I enjoyed the comments way more than the presentation. Sure, people on the coasts buy more vehicles than middle America as it is scattered with large metro areas along both coasts. Those vehicles are more often than not non-American branded vehicles... Like Honda, Toyota, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Subaru, Hyundai, Kia, Audi, Volkswagen etc. those are the brands you’re likely to see… Not exactly territory for Chevrolet, Ford, Cadillac, Lincoln etc. Nor has it been for 40 plus years. In middle America is where Detroit still has good market share, and these aren‘t the folks begging for electric powered vehicles. You do realize that people who live on the coasts buy more way vehicles than “middle America” Most of the major population centers are on either coast.
The automakers aren’t socialist or woke. They want to make money and EV is where the money is.
Also, maybe wonder why you believe that driving a car that runs on foreign-sourced oil is patriotic.
That is true about the large population centers being on the coasts, although bad governance is driving people away from them, myself and my family members included, so that is changing. It should not be assumed that people on the coasts want BEV's, we don't - yet. As for oil, we were a large net exporter of oil until last year. The BEV move is a central planning issue, and as long as the automakers play ball with the central planners, they are OK.You do realize that people who live on the coasts buy more way vehicles than “middle America” Most of the major population centers are on either coast.

Not so fast there, Most, or a large share, of these coastal and or big city dwellers also rely on the mass transit for the majority of their commuter needs too. And it/there wasn't so much foreign oil until Bidum got in and shut things down on us causing a ripple effect of prices to surge. You do realize that people who live on the coasts buy more way vehicles than “middle America” Most of the major population centers are on either coast.

The only problem is that there are not many Lucid products out there.Tesla is not the benchmark anymore, Lucid is.
Fastest charging, most range, highest efficiency, smallest, lightest and most powerful drive units.
But they are rather pricey, for now,
But yeah, Cyberturd most definitely has it's hands full, so attacks.
Elon lied again and tried to downplay the Lucid CEO's contributions at Tesla, too.
These tactics are how you know you have something. Badges of honor,
I'm sure MBS has shares in lots of things that you don't know about. The only problem is that there are not many Lucid products out there.
plus MBS is a major shareholder. I am not a fan.
Ludic launched 2 months ago with a model that started at $170,000.The only problem is that there are not many Lucid products out there.
That is nicheLudic launched 2 months ago with a model that started at $170,000.
There's really only ~300 out there right now.
Give them a little more time than that.
GM already has lots of EV’s on the road. they lost their Federal creditI'm sure MBS has shares in lots of things that you don't know about.
By the time GM EVs hit the market there will be lots of Lucids out there.
At this point, the only EVs I have any interest in are Lucid, Rivian, VW (I actually like that Microbus) GM and by extension Honda, who will be using Ultium.
It’s currently a high end luxury car. And they’ve got 20,000 pre orders booked at the moment. That is niche
Every year it will be going up.20,000 is also 'niche', esp since that volume will be spread out over YEARS.
That is great.Every year it will be going up.
By mid-decade there will be premium sedan and SUV models (think C-Class with E-Class interior space).
Prices will be much more inline with mainstream luxury brands.
They're even talking about a coupe and pickup, 500K units by the end of the decade.
No talk of $25K cars from Lucid, but they may sell the components for one to someone else.
I would be VERY interested in the 2025/2026 premium sedan.
They're about the only American automaker interested in making one.
Everyone else is either a hatch, SUV or truck.
The S-Class still has a big market. That is great.
But the S Class market moved to Silverado and F150, throw in Sierra Denali
Nah, they've moved to GLS, X7, Escalade, RR, and Navigator. But the S Class market moved to Silverado and F150, throw in Sierra Denali
Those are Soccer Mom rides. The dudes that used to drive limos drive trucks. Tarust me...Nah, they've moved to GLS, X7, Escalade, RR, and Navigator.
