Wow, the Taurus X is really suffering. That's unfortunate.

I am actually suprised with the Fusion numbers. I would not have expected it to post sales gains at this time.

Most of the loss was in F-series and Econoline sales. The new F-150 can't get here quick enough.

Go Jaguar? If it wasn't for the XF, that brand would be dead in the water! I wonder if Tata can handle this sick kitty. I'm blown away that the new XK is doing so poorly. That's a really nice car!

Headline is misleading, at least in comparison to the GM sales numbers post. 14% is unadjusted (which has long been Ford's practice). The GM -13% is adjusted. Ford is down 7.6% adjusted for selling days, in comparison to GM.

What is troubling about fords press release is "Retail sales to individual customers were down 17%" That's not good no matter how you slice it. I'd like to see market share for the 1st quarter as that is a better indicator of how ford is doing. In a down market with fewer buyers if you keep your share your doing well.

For all the people that was burning Ford for using drum brakes on the focus, well guess what, the new Corolla uses them too and I dont see any complains

It actually drives way better than the Corolla, in that it has a very direct and nimble feel. They did, however, soften it up a bit.

The sad but true fact, is that there are more people who want a mushy ride, then a nice firm, good handling one.
