Your owner's manual should have something in about changing the headlight bulbs. Are you changing the bulbs or the whole unit?

I don't think that I've seen an HID Malibu....it would look good with them.
Well int the manual at page 5-48 start Bulbm replacement

but no information to HOW to remove the bulb ... was mentionned only the type of the bulb ...

well only back up and plate light was mentioned..

Me i want to change Head light ... change bulb h9 - h11 to a HID xenon kit

That is pretty complicated for a headlamp.

Sorry sahdowflare for not responding sooner, but I was terribly busy this weekend at my second job!

Hope this helps...
OMG .. lol it's a little harder then my AVEO 2004 lolll well If I understand the headlamp remove method ... it's
I need to remove the plastic cover ..
after the bumper ... then i get access to the headlamp :|

loll I will have fun for this ... loll

After i Finish my installation i will add Some OLD Malibu - My new Malibu with all my mod ...
funny---- GMCsonoma to the rescue again.
I asked a similar question- but for a 2008 Buick Lucerne- how to replace the bulb.
he also posted similar pics- Id have to remove the entire bumper and a few other parts to remove the headlight assembly.
I started to remove stuff. when it came time to loosen the bolts holding the bumper to the quarter panel- I was laying on my back- and looked up---- and saw the headlight bulb....
hopefully you can do what you want to do without going thru the whole process....
I got lucky that I had small hands and was able to reach up and change the bulbs that way.in the pic below- I was laying on my back on the floor- and I looke up to see the headlamp assembly and bulb- I did have to remove a large splashshield under the car to see this...

Now my malibu have 2x HID 6000 K with a 55 WATTS ... not a 35 watts HID kit ...

I'm brighteness then a BMW, LEXUS or anyone another car ...

I will send more picture soon ..

but Question

Did you ever buy the fogs Shadowflare99?
check out this video http://carcarekiosk.com/video/2008_Chevrolet_Malibu_LS_2.4L_4_Cyl./lights/headlight

it shows how to get the housing out and change the headlight

they also have videos for the high beam, parking light, daytime running light and turn signal (same procedures, different bulbs)
