One of those double dirt haulers threw a rock into the windshield of my Explorer a few days ago, even though I was in the far left lane of I-5 going to San Diego for business. How does this relate to the G8? The replacement of the windshield (original Ford Glass and labor) was just $350. Had I owned an uncommon car such as the G8, I am sure that the cost, and probably the parts availability would have been much worse. Now think about maintaining a G8 five years from now.
The Camaro looks like an American car, nothing like any cars from Asia or Europe, and should sell in radically higher numbers, so parts should be readily available and reasonably priced.
GM either needs to find the money to restyle the G8, or drop it immediately.
