Pontiac Montana, what’s in a name? A whole lot more sales when it conjured up images of a rugged outdoorsy lifestyle in the Big Sky Country of Montana. For 1999 Pontiac dropped the Trans Sport name for its minivan, and adopted the Montana name all across the line. Functionally, this versatile minivan benefited from a small increase in horsepower and torque for 1999, and had a variety of minor option alterations. Split bench seats were now standard on all models, and an overhead entertainment center was optional. Video: 1999 Minivan Comparison
Great to see old road test on the Montana. Thanks for posting it!
We have 2005 (grabbed last of sloped hood style) and it has served us very well.
Very comfortable on long trips ... Just wished for more HP.
