Longest you've owned a vehicle

What's the longest you've owned a vehicle, or, what's the most miles you've racked up on a vehicle? I got thinking of how I've had my Forester since the summer of 2007 and have accumulated 173k miles on it so far. It seems like people typically trade in vehicles sooner than that and drive 10-12k a year which is quite a contrast.

My previous '09 Silverado. I bought it new in May of 2009 and traded it in March 30th of 2014. I put 100k on it in that time.

That's the longest I've kept a personal vehicle.

My 1995 Bonneville...had it until 2009, over 220K miles. Longest I've owned a car...my 1981 Corvette, 33 years and counting with only 34k miles.

I guess ownership... my 58 Edsel Pacer which I got at 14... so 14 years ownership... holy crap, I've owned that car half my life now! Yikes!

2nd would be my S10 Blazer I got at 16, so 12 years for that. Currently undergoing a V8 swap. Drove it for 6 years until I got my 98 Trans Am, which I drove for 6 years as well, and sold last Saturday.

I still have my 1991 Saturn SL2, which I purchased new in July 1991. It really doesn't get used anymore other than short, local runs. But it was my daily driver for about 13 years, before I started splitting time with it and other vehicles I've owned. She has about 211k miles on it and still looks pretty good for her age. She does need a little work to bring her up to daily-use status (Motor mounts, which are common problems for these cars, needs a new exhaust, brake work and a couple other little things).

I keep her now for sentimental reasons... I've been through a lot with that wonderful little car. :)

1991 Saab 900 turbo convertible. Five of the best years motoring years of my life.

Most miles... not sure. The Sevilles I've owned rank up there. I drive the heck out of my Cadillacs. They're comfortable and versatile so I'm eager to drive them all over the country. I put 40k on one, 70k on another, and keep in mind I bought them with over 100k already.

I owned my 1990 Mitsubishi Mirage for over 7 years and put 67,000 miles on it before giving to my brother. It had 20,000 miles on it when I bought it and 87,000 when I gave it away. Every vehicle since then has been 5 years or less.

1994 Grand Prix GTP, I bought it new and had it until 2002 when I bought a new GTP. The 94 handled horribly, but I loved the looks - it looked mean and I loved it! And the engine was very willing to rev and made a very nice sound once in the upper rpm's. I loved that car!

I've had my 2005 G35 Coupe since it was new. It's only got 82,000 miles. I'm hoping to keep it another two years. I haven't gotten desperate for a new car, since I still really like driving the G. Although she needs some cosmetic stuff (wheels could use refinishing, driver's seat has a small rip), she still looks pretty good, and I still get compliments on her. People are surprised when I tell them she's almost 10 years old. She has no dents, because I still park her in BFE when I can.

A year 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue that I bought new, and didn't trade in when I bought my Cruze Diesel. The Intrigue has 223K on it now, mainly driven for minor local errands. Runs fine, but the 4th gear doesn't engage anymore - and some of the window guts don't work, and the HVAC doesn't mix properly.

Didn't you say in another thread that you've only driven it like 11k miles?

I had my '74 Vette roadster for 22 years and currently will have owned my '03 CTS for 13 years in May. It was built in Feb of 2002 and I bought it in May of 2002.
