PMC, I knew you made it up after the second sentence. Seriously, all you did was make yourself look bad and weaken the bias argument against C&D, which is a shame, since its a valid argument.

The TSX is a great auto for someone who values handling over power. Problem is, there are cars in the same class - GLI for instance, that do both well. A NA 4 Cyl is simply inadequate for many. That said, its still a good car.

Let it go PMC. C&D is biased. They agree with Honda's objectives when building a car. Everyone has some bias. The problem is C&D is consistent with their bias - but don't go around making things up - you just dilute your cause.

Why am I even replying to this message? PMC, please, people get your point. Now move on with life, will you? You're bordering on mass spamming (some would argue you're being "bordering"...)

Also, you haven't driven the car, have you? It's a pretty solid car, considering the fact its FWD (I HATE FWD)

It handles very well, the tranny is AMAZING, its light and tossible. Regarding, if you don't like it, so what. If you don't like C&D, so what. There's more to life than hating Honda's and C&D.

(Someone, keep him away from CR!!! No more TORTURE!!!)

Have some of you shtik-dreks ever driven an Acura TSX? It's a very well-sorted car that would definitely be on my short-list if I were looking for a compact sports sedan. It handles sharply, looks sharp, and has a sharp interior. Much more than I can say for any of GM's soggy offerings (Saab 9-3 aside; and even it has issues...).

Let the bottom-feeders shlep around in heaps like the Pontiac G6, and leave the real cars to those who can appreciate a good car.

And for those unaware, I really hate Hondas. Somethin' fierce. But I loved the Acuras TL and TSX. Unlike many of our GMI brethren, whose testicles don't seem to have yet fully descended, some of us have the maturity and intelligence to put aside stupid notions such as bias, and appreciate a good car for being a good car.
Isn't hating Hondas a bias, considering they are well regarded vehicles?

You clearly have no grasp of the meaning of "bias". Bias implies a hatred (in this case) of something based on nothing tangible. I tangibly hate Honda cars. They're ugly, pigs to drive, not as reliable as people think and are absurdly overrated. If they were attractive, drove well, were more interesting than a spoon, and not as troublesome, then I'd like them.

Unlike these "GM-fan" retardapes, I like cars for the car itself, not for the badge on the hood or because it was assembled in the state I live in...

In fact I find it impossible to be biased towards a product because of something a trivial as its brand name. Save that sort of retarded thinking for the rabble of morons that pollute these forums. Those of us capable of intelligent thought don't bother with such childish practice.

I find it so odd that the people crying the loudest about "bias" are THE most biased themselves. "GM fans" aren't car fans. Not by a long mile. They're "GM" fans. GM could build toilet plungers, and these idiots would be just as foaming-at-the-mouth about it, talking about how GM toilet plungers are so much better than a Toyota Camry.

In fact I'm so beyond sick of it, I'm losing interest in this place at a rapidly-waning rate.

Many of us use bias as a synonym for preference. A bias is sort of a collective, somewhat consistent set of preferences.

C&D seems to like whatever Honda makes, most of the time. There are always exceptions. This is a bias. Biases can be very useful. If you agree with CR's biases towards what makes a great car, their shopping guide is very useful - problem is many don't know this and they sell their opinions as facts.

It doesn't have to be a negative connotation.

YOU made that up. People believed that it was from C&D but NO ONE agreed with the statements.

No wonder they banned you there, keep it up and soon you'll be gone here too.
Should I consider this the opening volley in a petition drive?

BTW, I'm starting a new magazine. Petition and Driver. :yup:

^^Does that mean you'll have additional time to spend with people more like yourself?

I for one will miss your insightful, narcissistic natterings and the inevitable detours into how incredibly, unbelievably wonderful you are.

Oh, FWIW, "Bias" does not imply hatred.

Bias actually refers to "a motor vehicle tire having a foundation of plies of rubberized cords in a crisscross pattern of lines diagonal to the center line of the tread (see RADIAL [PLY] TIRE)."

It's also "a mental leaning or inclination." Nothing about hate there.

So, does losing interest at a waning rate mean you are gaining interest at a waxing rate?

I for two.

LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what I'm laughing at here. I'll have to hop in my non biased (tires and my attitude toward it) Elantra, drive down to the local Farm and Fleet and pick up the latest "Farmer's Almanac" so that I can figure out this waxing/waning business. Those hicks may be smarter than I gave them credit for.

Teh fact that most of you bought it is proof of how persuasive Car and Driver can be when throwing around a bunch of fluffy adjectives to describe an utterly and superbly average car.
This, IMHO, is dangerous.
No, all this would prove, if anyone were to believe what you wrote, is that what you wrote is persuasive or what you wrote in combination with the C&D name is persuasive or it might be evidence that the C&D name, regardless of what is written, is persuasive. However, most of those who responded to the initial post either disagreed with what was written or didn't believe this was a C&D review. So, what did the initial post and responses prove? Nothing.

I like the TSX, definitely would like one if the legacy was out of the question, but this review sounds like someone who can't write for merde!

I hope the diesel comes in a manual.

LOL that explains why it sounded like a 9th grader from my creative writing class wrote it!
Correct, as does most of Car and Driver literature.
