Would be throwing good money after bad. With this model being 6" longer, I wonder if they will make a version with the traditional opening doors as an option? Basically a Continental L.
Yeah, I'm going to send my Soul to the Coachmen to have this done. Cool!![]()
I think these 80th Anniversary Editions are already sold out.If Cadillac can sell-out 275 CT6-V Blackwings, maybe Lincoln can sell 80 of these.

I think it looked better when it was black plastic; I sure with the plastic, the car was lighter and handled better too.
It was a brilliant marketing campaign that generated almost [EDIT] 10 million dollars and can't help but sell more regular Continentals.
Nothing can help Lincoln sales at this point. I looked at full size luxury SUV sales and the Navigator is in dead last so much for it being a "savior" to the brand. Even the ancient Infinity QX80 is outselling it. I really wish GM would make a Buick version of the GMTK2XX just so we could see that kick the Navigator's ass too. From another thread in January:

Regarding the "Coach Edition", you wrote (Emphasis added):

When should we see evidence of this?

Must be why they are adding 550 jobs so they can increase their output by 20%. You know, just so they can go out of business.Nothing can help Lincoln sales at this point. Say, how is the Lexus LX doing? The company announced it would increase production on the Ford Expedition and the Lincoln Navigator.
The company will also add 550 jobs at the Kentucky Truck Plant and plans to move approximately the same number of jobs from the Louisville Assembly Plant to increase vehicle production by 20 percent.
They still make the LX?Must be why they are adding 550 jobs so they can increase their output by 20%. You know, just so they can go out of business.

https://www.lexus.com/models/LX This should help U out. They still make the LX?
Well you are the expert that looked up all the sales numbers for luxury SUVs, right? They still make the LX?
I’m the one who took these/went to press days, and I was happy to see this production Coach Door (“00 of 80” according to the sill plate) and especially relieved to see the quarter window addition. The prototype’s black plastic filler quarter looked awkward and cheap! The rear console was also upgraded with a cool metal folding tray, wireless charger and tablet holder. So in the private Everything Lincoln group on Facebook someone posted pics of the Coach Door Continental. They made a few changes.
1. The 3rd window is an actual window now instead of filled in
2. The rear doors don't butterfly up
3. They added a black piece behind the B-Pillar
4. They changed the handles they no longer meet in the middle.

Most marketing campaigns just cost money, this one generated a lot of cash, that was the beauty, it was at least in-part, self-funded.............From another thread in January:

Not to sound like a broken record, but...................Nothing can help Lincoln sales at this point. I also got to see the new CT5 up close in and out, and can confirm its controversial rear quarter panel trim is indeed just plastic.
You didn't answer my question. When will sales of the Continental rise, as you said they would, because of the existence of the Coach Edition? Most marketing campaigns just cost money, this one generated a lot of cash, that was the beauty, it was at least in-part, self-funded.............
