Same Problem here. Leaky seal on Right front shaft on 2004 Silverado with 45900 miles. I asked dealer to check "Goodwill" adjustment. He said "No! No!" It has over 36K". I said I "only" asked you to check. He was aware of the problem but said "no help was available". Appointment is for Friday- said around $250.

This truck had a problem with the 4WD indicator lights when new which they finally repaired.

Surprise! I walked into dealership (Day-Centennial Chevrolet) in Uniontown,PA this morning to leave my truck for repairs to leaking front axle seal. Service manager said he talked to the boss and he and GM will give a Goodwill adjustment. He wants to change both sides and put in new bearings and fluid change. Said he had to order parts and will be in next week. First he said it'd cost me a $100 and then decided it would cost me $50. Said the dealership wanted to keep my business. I'm stunned! Thanks GMCSONOMA- it pays to ask. Hopefully the problem will be fixed. Guzda
