Corvette Racing scored its 101st victory this weekend at Road America after a superlative last lap pass by Tommy Milner.

During the third and final restart of the afternoon, Milner, in the No.4 C7.R, was back in P5 with 5 minutes remaining on the race clock. Thanks to one part luck and two parts outstanding driving, Milner would take victory by less than a second over the No.67 Ford GT.

First, Nick Tandy in the No. 911 Porsche North America Porsche 911 RSR tried to go from third to first at Turn 5, which resulted in a spin, dropping him back to P7.

Next Toni Vilander in No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 488 GTE tried to relegate the leading Ford GT to second place, but his efforts were cut short thanks to the No. 55 Mazda Prototype of Tristan Nunez in Turn 1, leaving Milner with nothing to look at but the sculpted rear of the Ford GT with just enough time for 3 more laps.

Milner's devastating run through Turn 3 allowed him to carry momentum through the kink at Turn 4 and breeze past the Ford well before the braking zone for Turn 5.

The No.3 C7.R came home in P6 after chasing strategy and setup the entire afternoon.

The C7.Rs are back on the job August 28th at Virginia International Raceway.
